How to maintain different line widths with "Add Shapes"

Hi,

I am a relatively new user of Xara but I'm loving the experience.

However, I'm trying to combine lines of different widths for a map
without luck. Picture just a simple tic-tac-toe board/crosshatch.
The vertical lines are 8 pts and the horizontal lines are 12 pts.
I select-all, then go Combine Shapes - Add Shapes. The program
combines the lines, but makes all of the lines the same point width
first, vertical and horizontal.

Is there any way to Add Shapes and keep my original
(different) line widths?

Try Arrange>>Convert line to shape and then 'Add Shapes'
