Hello everyone... Here is a picture that I have made, for no real reason. Too much time on my hands i guess?

Hope you like it... Post your comments if I need to alter it... Dan.

It occured to me that Mr Bin Laden has a more gray beard these days.

But in general, I'm not inclined to be amused with these illustrations about serious matters of war and peace and ones preposition in it. Me thinks the world would be more tranquille place if we would refrian from these outings ...

Cartoonists wouldn't have a job if they couldn't make fun of serious matters.

Keep up the good work DAN.

In the P*****P forum it is stated that it is done in...P******P.

So: no Xara, and not in its place here.
In fact: should be in the gallery.

Fun image Dan. Lots of folks would like to buy a game like that! I suppose on the grounds that it is a satire you might not be violating copyrights.

Erik has a point. Was this done with xara or photoshop? I've read the posting in the photoshop forum and it's still not clear to me. As Erik suggests - it could always have been posted to the more general "Gallery Forum" where what software you use is less relevant. Dan - please clear things up! If you misposted here (ie no xara techniques used), that's okay.

    Regards, Ross

    Thankyou to all who replied...

In relation to the question... "Was Xara used in this?" Or similar...

    Yes, in the following...

    a) The construction of the text "Laden."

    b) Basic cropping of the faces. Then For more precise cropping I used photoshop.

    c) Applying shadows to various parts...

There you go... Is that not satisfactory for a 16 Y.O?

Hey, and besides. This was a bit of fun. And why should I allow people to [NO NAMES MENTIONED] put me down for it?

There is no rule book that artists have to follow. That's why it is called art.

Thankyou to everyone else who thought it was amusing! You guys are the real artists.

This "fourteen year old", "sixteen years old" etc reminds me of my granddad: "not bad for an eighty-six years old".

Besides: I did recognise the style from the first moment. Hahahaha.

Hey: this is a forum for graphics, and more precisely Xara. Problems are looked at, techniques are shared and people are appreciated for their talent and become Internet friends. Being young is no excuse to use the forum for ego glorification. If you really are who you pretend to be, that is.

I know that not everyone can have the talent of Steve at so young an age, but he only mentionned it by accident, never as an excuse.

If you don't work against time, time often works for you.
