    Thanks John, My method includes colours sampled from an image of an old photo and some bitmap transparencies.

    Another exploration using the same cottage photo. This time I gave it a faux 1960's look. I guess this would be more vintage than antique, but I like the result.

    Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
