    Exclamation Xtreme pro stopped working

    Hi all,
    normally just browse here, but I am having a problem starting xara xtreme pro. I have already tried uninstall and also deleted all xara refernced file in user data, to clear any left overs. Uppon re-install all starts ok first time I then dismiss popups for tips and such. After closing once then get this popup see attached jpg. Here is the windows report if it's useful to anyone.

    I am running Windows 7 home premium 64bit and have been using xtreme on it for a couple of months no problems. I have also performed a system restore to a date when it worked ok, but still get this same message.

    I haven't a clue but I am very sympathetic. Hang in there and I am sure someone will check in in a while with a suggestion or solution.

    Gary,
    Thanks for looking, it's not the end of the world as I have working on another PC, but I do prefer this PC as it is a dual screen setup.
    A little off topic but thanks also for the time and effort you put into, this site and Xara One, It's always my first port of call for any help.

    Hi

    Do you have DEP enabled? Right click on My Computer and select Properties
    Select Advanced system settings to open system properties. Next, click on the settings button below the subheading 'Performance' from the 'Advanced' tab.
    Select the Data Execution Protection Tab.

    Which radio option do you have enabled.
    If you have 'turn on dep for all programs and services except those i select' then you must add Xtreme.exe to the list. Click on the Add button, browse to your xtreme installation folder and double click xtreme.exe. Once added to the list, place a tick in the checkbox and apply the changes.

    You will need to reboot the PC and then should try Xtreme again.

    Hi bbs,
    Looks like that was it, I wrongly assumed that doing a system restore would put everything back to how it was, but it did not change DEP back to off!
    I remember now doing some fiddling with DEP earlier in the week, (that will teach me).
