Default ornate letters / red ivy & ivy H on Xara CD - but where?

    Hi forum,

In my Designs Gallery, I found some ornate letters named 'red ivy' and 'ivy H'.
    It says:
This is an example from one of the sets of ornate letters (A-Z) supplied on the Xara X CD.

I have a couple of CD's, Xara XtremePro5 & XaraXone, but I can't seem to find artwork on these?

    What am I missing?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Erwin,

Open the Designs Gallery in version 5 or in version 4 and older the Clipart Gallery. In Letters1 and Letters2 folder you will find those ornate letters.

With the design gallery open click on disk designs then navigate to the drive that has your Xtreme CD I can't exactly check this because I already have it all in my design gallery. Those you named are found in the folder letters 2 in the design gallery.

No need to access the CD, the Designes are installed to your hard drive by default.

Red Ivy in located in the Designs Gallery > Letters 2 folder.

Oddly enough I can't seem to find any.
    Not on my harddrive.
Opening up the Disc designs and browsing to my Xara 5 cd, it asks:
    "Add folder to gallery"

    I only have:
    addon
    Movies
    product
    Trials

When I try to add some folder, I get a "Serious violation exception at 0x00996F16"

I' guess I'll have to do an unistall and reinstall anew :-(

    But wait...
    Browsing to C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 5\Clipart
    there I find:
    letters
    letters2

How come they are not in the Designs Gallery?
Do I have to visit each folder and create an index for it?

    Thanks for your help guys!

I seem to have found them on my harddrive indeed.
Seems I have been missing on a lot while not even being aware what I had on board?!

Is there any obvious way to add "ALL" Clipart sitting underneeth a specific folder?
It seems I have to manually add each folder, enter into the folder until I see a subdir xarainfo. Only then will it accept to add the folder. But obviously if you want to add the next folder, you have to first escape out of the previous, enter the next one, enter into it, then add it etc..
Seems a little tedious these days.

    What am I missing.
Sorry if I pick on a known issue, I seem to have read about this already...

Erwin what version of Xtreme are you using? Also which version of Windows?

Normally the Clipart/Design gallery will include all the installed folders.

Bill, I'm using Xtreme Pro 5.1.0.8917 DL (Jun 3 2009) on XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
Now I have to be carefull here, because I have:
    Xara
    |-ScreenMaker3D
    |-Webstyle 4
    |-Ws3FpEx
    |-Ws4FpEx
    |-Xara3D6
    |-Xara Web Designer
    |-Xara Xtreme Pro 4
    |-Xara Xtreme Pro 5
    |XmmFpEx
    |XolDwEx

on my system. And I do remember at a certain point I've already been looking for clipart and I seem to remember I've copied over a bunch of clipart from my laptop which has Xtreme 4 on it if I'm not mistaken.

I've been doing this from the point of view that all clipart should be compatible among versions...

    Hi Erwin,

Copying clipart from Xtreme 4 to Xtreme 5 is not necessary. All the clipart from previous versions are installed with Xtreme and Xtreme Pro 5.

When you copied the clipart from Xtreme 4 it may have overwritten some data needed. I would recommend an uninstall then reinstall of Xtreme Pro 5 on your sytems to clean things up.
