Xtreme 4.0 on Windows 7

loaded extreme 4.0 on hp laptop running window7 tried all compatibility setting recommended by xara support and still get message after extreme loads XARA EXTREME HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available no solution yet any suggestions TIA dave1218[/I]

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

I believe I ran the Xtreme 4.0 installer in XP compatibility mode.

Do not let the CD autorun.

Use Windows Explorer to locate the run.exe file (I think that is the correct name) then right click and select Properties. On the Compatibility tab select XP compatibility. Click the OK button to close the Properties dialog.

Double click the run.exe file and it should install the program correctly.

You should not need to use compatibility mode to run Xtreme 4.0 after it is installed.
