In any case I don't think there is a template for that. If you measure a common sized business card out and then set your page size to that and then work within those perameters then you will have a single business card template as for a way to print out multiples of the same on one printout I think someone else will have to supply some further input.

It would be a nice part of the coming update to XaraX if Charles would supply templates like that. Especially if there was a way to set up a tempate that would print out multiples of the same image with options for printing out the cut lines so it would be easier to line it up on the cutting board!!

Anyway, sorry I can't be more help to ya! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I use those card sheets with peel-off tape.

In XaraX I lay out one layer with a grid and make sure that prints centrally on each card.

Then group the original artwork, and paste it into each box on the grid.

    I've attached one...

A business card is 3.5 x 2 inches. You can download a template to set up 10 cards on a page by using guidelines. You can download this template to save yourself the bother of doing it yourself at http://www.xaraxone.com/html/templates.html
scroll about two thirds the way down the page.

    Thank you Joel.

There are a lot of various templates developed over the years by Xara users, including one for business cards, in the Xara Xone > Shareware > Templates page.

Just as a reminder to new users, there is a pile of free stuff created by Xara users to share with other Xara users in the Shareware page.

Click here. to vist the Shareware Page.

Great reminders for those new to using Xara! Only point I'd like to add is that it is often far easier to modify an existing template to suit the needs of your project than to create one from scratch. For example, I use Avery's Ink Jet Business Card - print to the edge - stock. (Avery 8373) I use it not only for my business cards, but also for coupons that I prefer to pass out at live workshop or presentation that I do.

Great way to gain free publicity in your area, BTW. Volunteer to do a presentation on something relating to your field to a local computer user group, or similar organization. I do at least 3-4 every year on topics aimed at novice computer users, or on basic photo optimization. When I go, I have two sets of coupons on hand. One that offers $10 off on any service that costs under $100, and another that is my normal 15% discount for new customers who will spend more than $300.

Seeing as TalkGraphics is having a major overhaul, has any thought been given to promotion/marketing discussion? Not just specifics of how we use Xara or other programs, but as that topic would apply to graphic & web page designers. Just wondering...
