Making a Spiral Ribbon?

Hi all,
I am trying to create a spiral ribbon. Like the kind on a gift that you pull with scissors to make them spiral. I cant seem to figure out how to make it real looking. I know that there is one in the line gallery. It looks like a phone cord. I want it more natural looking. Any Ideas on the best way to get this?

Mike, how about this? If I'd used named colours I could have made different coloured ribbons very easily.

Egg, I like it, I was hoping for a little more natural looking. For example, having the ribbon start off bigger and making it graduate smaller to the end. Could you explain how you did that?

Could you explain how you did that?

Basically it's just a blend on a curve with a couple of added shapes. Open the xar and pull it apart

A quick spiral ribbon.
One shape that was modified, cloned, shrunk and flipped and distorted a little a few time to make a spiral.
