    Default attachment problem

I am trying to attach either a jpg file (70 KB) or a xar file (68 KB) to a new thread and I cannot get it to upload. The upload is normally very fast-I've done it in the past. But this morning it gets part way through and then stalls. I've repeated several times without any luck and have even reinstalled my XX4.

    Any thoughts on the matter?

    Hi EJ,

It could be due to the forums being very slow lately.

I've experienced a lot of slow downs on the forums since they were moved to the servers in Berlin.

    Hi Bill,
that may be the problem but I suspect something else has happened.

I tried sending again today and eventually got an error message saying that my request could not be processed because it did not have a security tag. Well Hellooo. Never had that before. I filed a ticket so we'll wait and see what happens now.

I took a screen grab of the error message but of course I can't send it!!!!!!!!

    Erik,

    Was the message this?:

    vBulletin Message
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.
zip your files and email to sledger [at] gmail.com and I'll check them out.

Generally that is one of many vBulletin messages that can be invoked when files either exceed forum limits or are unsupported types.

That no-one else reports upload problems points to something else being the cause.
Can you try momentarily disabling any virus scanning software before you upload/attatch a file?

There's nothing wrong with your files Erik (attached).

    Sledger,
I'm still getting nowhere with getting attachments accepted. I've disabled my firewall and that had no effect. I also removed and replaced Java because a friend suggested that. I have also registered in talkgraphics with another email address and that had no effect either. I'll keep plugging away but I'm running out of ideas.

Any idea what software Talkgraphics uses to upload its attachments? Obviously the message part is OK since this messsage will get though. Seems like maybe the attachment part is corrupted at my end. However, what should I reinstal? That is why I though reinstalling java may have an effect but it does not seem to be that.

No problems with your account Erik - I was able to upload various attachments types fine while logged in as EJ.

Further suggestions were made in the email.
