    Thanks Jon - but your ropebrush.xar file does not contain any brush, only a shape on a page.
    You may have neglected to 'Create Brush', name it then edit it to set the spacing etc, save the edits and then save the .xar?

    Refer to Xhris' tutorial page 1

    Also please don't forget to post the 75x75 pixel .png thumbnail

    here is a colour change brush for fluffy clouds. You could also tweak the settings to use it for smoke too.
