    Default Marliyn rastered

Here's an experiment I've been working on. I wanted to use a wave formed raster to create the look of post stamps or bills, and this is the result:

Paul are you using the Live Effect plugin there as you said it was raster. Or is it a vector blend over a bitmap? Nice effect!

No live effects (even though they can be handy I dislike the live effects as they are still a pretty good way to crash Xara Xtreme)!

I made a bitmap pattern from some vector waves, and then used the pattern as a transparency mask on a black and white photo. And some "tinkering" to get the right effect (contrast, blur, levels etc)

It wanted to be darker (IMHO). But nice wavy line effect Paul.

One of the filter companies makes a set of steel line engraving filters that can produce this effect and several others. As soon as the cobwebs clear I'll think of which company it is.

Thanks! The darkness can easily be adjusted with profiles (either the color fill profile for the image or the trasparency profile for the "mask").
