Menu button on a new layer

Hello!

I have a little problem creating a second menu on a separate layer.

What i try to create:

I have a mainmenu. And on a click of one of the buttons, some new button appear. I need them as a submenu.

So i created a new layer with the name "gallerymenue". I activate this layer and put a button out of the designgallery on the page. But if i deactivate this layer, the button doesn't disappear. So it was created on the mainlayer.

When i create text or a little graphic on this layer, it is only shown if this layer is active.

I have no idea, what's going wrong.

I'm using the german version of the Web Designer.
