Default rotate end of a blend ended in v5? nooo..

sigh. In all Xara (including less extreme) versions I could adjust the orientation of blended bits along a line by ctrl-clicking twice on either the beginning or end object to bring up the bent arrows indicating I can rotate my end to suit. (cue: image of linedancing -sorry)

Now ctrl-doubleclick doesn't allow rotation; I can ctrl-click to select the object but can only rotate it by typing the degrees in the property bar.

But the main thing I like about Xara is the fact so much can be done interactively with mouse movements within the image rather than typing values into boxes on the screen. what? Typing values? into Boxes on the screen? -that is so Illustrator.

I am interested to see if another v5 user has noticed this change; my copy of xara extreme pro 5 is up to date.

yea alright, so call me picky..

Works fine here with Xtreme 5 or Xtreme Pro 5
Remember that it's 'single click' rather than double click now.

gmr, it's still easy to do, just different. Once an end shape's selected and you see the 9 blobs, you can either click on the small rotate icon on the tool bar (highlighted) or if you bring your cursor just inside the blobs it converts to a rotation arrow (highlighted)

Actually, to clarify that. It's 'two clicks'..

Ctrl+Click once to select end object - 2nd click to show rotation handles.

This is the same for all older versions of Xtreme on my system..

The bend rotation handles are still there,
you just have to set the rotation handles(see pic)

Yes, the abillity to select an object twice to show the rotation handles was lost for objects inside others (i.e. requiring select inside) between v4 and WebDesigner. This was most likely due to the changes required to select inside for soft groups and/or text inside groups. As far as I can discover, this was an unintended change and is therefore a bug so it will be added to our bug list.

However, given the fact that the object can still be rotated easily due to the new "invisible rotate handles" inside the normal ones, it may not get fixed quickly (or even at all if it proves very difficult to fix without breaking other things).
