XXP5 - Autobackup when saving possible or not?

I just lost a file that didn't save properly - something happened, Xara hung, and the overwritten file is empty.

In most of my programs, I have create backup on save enabled, yet I can't find how to do this in Xara Xtreme Pro 5. Does this mean the feature is unavailable? I would find that difficult to accept, considering the hours people put into graphics design work, and when something is lost, it's lost forever, including the inspiration behind it.

So, I'm asking, does anyone know a way of enabling an automatic backup of the previous file when it's resaved?

Hi Brivtech,

XaReg can enable Xara's built-in .bak files for you (it's not an option in Xara - it's a registry setting only)
But you have to save at least once. Each subsequent save renames the last save as .bak
It's also a multiple sequential backup save, so each time you save, you will end up with an extra .bak file (*1.bak / *2.bak and so on)
