'Shape' becomes 'Line' Issue

I'm almost certain this is a new behaiviour in version 5. See the steps below.
I use very often rounded rectangles and then delete points to create new shapes. This seem to create problems lately..

Not new - goes right back to version 2 (maybe version 1, but there's no status line in version 1)

Steve if you are referring to Xara X as version 1 and not the Corel Xara version 1, there is a status line. See attached image. The shape does become a line when you delete the top two points.
