Default Creating an outline of text?

Is there a way to create an outline of text without tracing it with vector lines?

When you add an outline to text, Xtreme splits the outline with half going on the outside of the text and half of the outline going on the inside.

This distorts the actual font. Especially in the case of a serif font.

A better way is to add twice the desired outline width to the text. Then clone the text and remove the outline for the cloned text.

This gives you an outline and at the same time maintains the integrity of the font.

Another method is to use a contour.

Info Re: Creating an outline of text?

Something to be aware of when working with outlines, is the settings you use in the line gallery, which will effect the appearance of the outlines and therefore the font.
