Website download

Hi, i am a new user of xtreme 5.0 and can not seem to figure out how to download an existing website to make changes to ,and then upload again. Can this be done with this program?? Thanks in advance

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

Xara Xtreme and Web Designer are not HTML editors so they cannot edit an existing website.

The programs are vector graphics applications that have the ability to export html as a website.

Hi Bill, I think you have just answered a question I was going to ask! So if I make a web site in XXPro5 and want to say, update images on a page, then it would be best to edit the original Xara files and upload the whole web site again? New at this Bill so please excuse me if it seems a dumb question Got loads of questions on making a web site in XXPro5 but would take all day, so any chance of you or Gary doing a tut. on this subject in XXPro5?

Hi Stygg,

You are correct, the best way to update a site created using either Web Designer or Xtreme 5.1 is to do so using the same program that created it.

All the information in Gary's Workbook 75 apply equally between Web Designer and Xtreme 5.1
