    Thanks for your reply.
    OS - Win XP SP3
    No other file-viewers apart from Windows Explorer.
    No Registry Monitoring Software
    No Anti Adware software
    Anti Virus - AVG
    Firewall - Zone Alarm

    The reason why I find it so frustrating is that, I used to be able to see the files in Thumbnails mode before, and I haven't added anything new (software or hardware) to my PC.

    Guess you could maybe drag and drop from windows explorer? - which I think was the upshot the time before..

    I've got a whole long list of stuff on my system that might be implicated so I don't think that will help - what I can do is check next time I do a clean reinstall [if I remember ]

    Hi. Yes, I guess drag and drop from Explorer could be a work around. Still be interested to find out what is causing this problem.
