Default Page Size

Is there any way to change the default page size and preferences to a new default at program start.

Yes, open a new page, say an A4 Lanscape. Under Utilities / Options / Page size select Custom and type in the values that you want your page to be.

Then go File / Save Template, give the template a name and click the "Use as Default" button.

There certainly is!

Set up a page and the stuff that you'd like to be in your default page (page size, rulers, layers, etc).

Do File->Save Template, and give your template a name. There is a checkbox in the dialog box that says "Use as Default Template".

If you check that box, your template will be used for all new documents by default.

If you don't check the "Use as Default Template" box, you have to choose the template from the list in File->New when you create your document.
