Help to insert a sound clip into a web page

Please help, I am sure that there is already something on the subject here, but, well there are thousands of things here, lol. I need to insert a sound clip into a web page. It is of a horse running. It is a .wav file. Thank you all so kindly in advance for the wonderful suggestions I just know I am going to get.

Can you tell the urgency in my voice when i said HELLLLLP? Okay do i put that in the html place holder? and what and where do i need to change to my wav file. Sorry Sledger for asking these silly questions.
