    yes Peter I agree - but sometimes that is a lot of work

    thats because as I said in the notes:
    a) it needs to be a 'true colour' bitmap
    b) it needs to be a high res image to give best results

    if you do not have high res image, hand trace will be better

    Hi Bob and you other wonderful people!

    It took a day but I feel that I have made some progress.

    What I didn't understand and never investigated was the 'Texture options' and 'Load teture' in Xara 3D.

    I've been playing about with that and can see how that would do what I want. (At the moment).

    Attached is what I did in just a few minutes! Amazing how easy things are when someone explains and you understand!!!

    I'm sure I have much more to learn though. But as I said before, I think I've joined a great community here.

    Thanks everyone and I hope you won't mind further questions in the very near future.
