    Question Water ripples perspective

How do I make these rings sit on the water in a realistic manner? The perspective is all wrong and I can't figure out how to do it.
Personally I don't think that it looks too bad as an animation but my wife disagrees.

I don't know whether I should just leave it or not.

    Hello Salaam,

Just squash them up a little horizontally. That's all you will have to do, I believe. Because they are circles, there's no lateral "skewing" involved. I have looked at the site and it's a terrific project. I'm sure that with a little squashing you'll get those ripples from 'good' to 'perfect'. However, pleasing your wife so that she is happy may be a more difficult matter (so speaks one for whom that is a constant battle against the forces of Venus!).

Does my blue ripple look any better to you?
By the way, you seem to have captured the Loch Ness Monster - it's just above my blue ripple.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

You are not the only one. My wife screeched when she saw it. I have now camouflaged it (although it looks different to the actual pre-reflected image).

I think you should leave Nessie in and put your ripples around it!

    Hello Salaam,

The centre one is, to my eyes, spot on. I think the right and left-hand ones need to be more squashed. Just my oinion though.

    Thanks kinetica,
I've just applied your suggestion to the 2 outer ripples.
