My problem with the line I have now is trying to get it to show light showing on the top. Here is what I have at the present time, plain color with no light on it. Also it does not appear round, just straight with rounded ends.

Perhaps this video will help Ken?

If you'd rather see a static mini tutorial than a video, try this one for size.

Thanks iamtheblues, the movie was useless because it was way too fast, but the static tutorial was great, thanks. Hope everyone notices who is and who is not using Xara Extreme Pro.

That's a very clever and efficient way to deal with the issue, Bob. I like your tutorials, keep them coming.

I agree with the man above, I'm afraid, I cannot watch video tutorials. With an image tutorial, such as created by Bob above, it is in glorious sharp technicolour which doesn't move or judder or run too fast or too slow for your own taste. It just sits there allowing you to digest its content at your own pace.

Kenneth, I don't follow you when you say "Hope everyone notices who is and who is not using Xara Extreme Pro."

You're welcome, the time spent creating it was all worthwhile

Not sure what you are trying to say there Ken however the process shown in the 'useless' movie is the same for all versions of Xtreme, Pro or not, going right back to XaraX.
I did notice who uses Xtreme with an 'X' though.

Here is a third method. This is almost the same as Bob's except I have added an extra layer of colour and I used the shadow tool for the drop shadow.

That's a lovely tutorial angelize. It never ceases to amaze me when people ask "how do you..." that with Xara there is often more than one way to achieve the same or similar effect. It's a testament to the power hidden behind the simplicity of the program.
