Hi,

Xara X1 is crashing at start up. Here is a screen shot of as much info as I could capture.....

I noticed there is a more recent version of Xara X1 download of August 24th, 2004. Is there an update that I dont' know about?? Like 1.1d?? If so, a link please, I can't find a link on the XaraX product page.

Thanks....

Hi,
I had a similar error although not quite so detailed when pasting CMX file from CorelDRaw12..and it has only happened since I installed windows sp2 update...I wonder if that is the culprit.

Richard the link is on the right hand side of the downloads page at Xara.com but is not required if you are already running 1.1c

Don't have SP2 installed and I did not have this problem with 1.1b, so I hope that Charles sees this thread!

Thanks!

Yea, I figure I will probably do a fresh install when I do install SP2 as I will probably slipstream it first. I'm in no hurry. I have a pretty solid system. Earthlink protects me pretty good with spam and all viruses (so far), so I'm in no hurry really to install it.

I am running 1.1c too but I saw on the downloads page there was a newer version of Xara X1 to download. The info for it:

Filesize:10.7MB
Version: 1.1d DL
Date: August 24, 2004

See what I mean Christine?? It's 1.1d

What's THAT all about? A newer version that those of us that have the CD version should not install but it's newer!! It's the 15 day trial but there must be a new fix or two in there!?! Maybe even a fix for the startup crashing?!?
