Default How can i get smooth vector gradients in Xtreme

Nevertheless, there is one issue with gradient fills that can be avoided using bitmap fills instead.
Linear fill has always 256 steps no matter how many colors you add to it (unless you tweak registry and enable unstable 1024 steps). So, if the object is large enough, and color transitions are sharp, you may notice steps in the fill.
No such limitation with bimap fills exists of course.

In this case 256 is all you may need since no matter what ending colors are, there will be no more than 256 shades between them (as we work with 8 bits per channel).
Ah! This explains why the vector gradients on my prints are all screwed up (banding) when printed. Thatīs a big problem for some work iīve been doing...
What i donīt understand is why this doesnīt happen with gradients in photoshop? Unless iīm making some confusion...
How can i get smooth vector gradients in Xtreme? Canīt it deal with 16bits per channel?

    Sorry the off topic

Recreate the gradient using a blend, or a series of blends if you need multiple color transitions. Not a pretty answer, but it is feasible.
