    Take a look at the before and after gifs attached to this message.

    All I did was use the right hand grey rectangle to cut out a section of the tab bar graphics (ie tab graphics are a group, moved rectangle over the top, selected both and hit combine shapes -> slice)

    And hey presto, some funky graphics!

    (excuse the rushed cut and paste!)
