    Gary,

Happy Holidays! May the eggnog be with you! (Or the scrumptious California Merlots...)

A nice set of mini-tuts to conclude 2004 of the XaraXone, I think. Taking January off from tuts is a great idea - you have deserved the time off to recharge your batteries!

Oh! Great idea of Xara to start creating some freebies! A little bit of "extra" might just help some people want to explore Xara X. Excellent!

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the help on these forums - really helpful...

I'm working thru the tutorial but stuck on the Linear Fill. ( Only took me 10 minutes to find the 'end-cap' setting !!!! ) When I control+e and try to enter the values ( 235 225 190 ) they keep changing back to 100 when I type them.

    I presume the 1900 is a typo.

Thanks in advance - Dave Porter

Thanks for catching the typo Dave. It has been fixed.

Not sure why the values are reverting to 100 but I have experienced something similar when keying in the number of colors for a 0-255 color GIF. I often have to use the delete or backspace key to remove the number before keying in the new. (Bug or feature--you decide)

    Thanks Gary,

If the RGB values I am entering are greater than 100 - that does not make sense ?

The fields are asking for a percentage, but I am typing in numbers greater than 100 !!!

Am I in the right place ?

Sorry, if I'm being dumb, but this is new to me..

    cheers, Dave

Thanks Gary for the great work you do.

When I click on the link, I go into the "Xone" but I get the workbook 31 ?

    Hi Dan,

Might be a cache issue - Control + F5 ( or whatever for your browser ) to refresh..

    cheers, Dave

OK I found it ( always nice to work things out yourself !!!! ).

In the options ( units ) you can switch between percentage or 0-255.

    cheers, Dave
