Poppies have very large/thick and hairy stems. That may be what seems off with the stem.

Great effect! But the same is true about most of your drawing. After all that modifications resulting composition improved a lot... like it

The last one is beautiful, very evocative. If I have one criticism (and it really is just a very small thing) it's that the shadow on the apple is too dark. Other than that, it's a picture I would be happy to hang on my own wall.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
