    Default brush it off again

I made a brush but when I use it, it does not look like my object I created it with. I made this for the March scribble where I needed a chain.

I made the object with 2 layers, the top on feathered.

    See attached .xar file.

Btw, I have another brush in there that's kind of cool if anyone wants to grab it. It makes a spray of many colored circles.

I'm afraid that feather effect doesnt work within brush... but there may be some trick i'm not aware of Unless you need a vector chain you can convert chain links to bitmaps and use these to create the brush.

Thank you Suvek. I had wondered how others got feathering. I will try bitmaps.

Feather your chain link and create a bitmap with a transparent background. Create your brush. In the Fill Properties tabbed section un-check Tile Fills.

    Gary,
Why did you feather the drawing?, I made the same without feather and it worked perfect.
Is there something I can't see?.
May be I'll made some changes to get the chain correctly place to avoid parts under other parts, I'll cut and add come parts to get a seamless tile.
    Best regards.

I did this by making it a bitmap copy and it worked fine. I had to twiddle with it before I found that 'tile' button and turned it off. I was getting the top example that Gary shows.

I'm going to try it with a blend too. Only problem is I now have about 8 'mychain' brushes out there somewhere. I need to cull them out.

I added the feathering before creating the bitmap because that was Nancy's original problem/question.

    Your way is better.

I enjoyed this! I can't remember ever making a chain brush. Thank you Burpee for inspiring me to getting the little grey cells working
