Where are my downloaded templates?!

Hi,

I just bought XWD and I think it's great. However it said to get the 700 templates to download that file. Well I have downloaded it twice and installed it twice and all I have are those same 20 templates. I have been all over the forum and didn't find help.
I am running windows vista but I didn' have any installation problems.
Am I crazy or should there be more templates?

I believe these are the only templates that come with the program: http://www.xara.com/us/products/webdesigner/templates/

Maybe it was 700 individual items (including each button, etc.).

1)Open Xara Web Designer
2)Open the HELP menu
3)Click on Download Templates. Your web browser will open and your download will start when you click on 'Save File'

Hi Katecj

Where did you see mention of 700 templates? I just went through the pages at Xara.com and the XaraXone.com plus checked the Xara Outsider newsletter and found no mention of 700.

On the Loyalty page it says "...almost 700 graphic or site templates."

Oh I see it now too...

I suppose they could word that more clearly. Some might think they mean '700 graphic templates' since it says "graphic" not 'graphics' as would be necessary to imply both graphics + templates. That said I personally never took it to mean 700 templates.

I'm sure if Xara see this thread here they will improve the wording to avoid any further confusion.

I think the number of templates is disappointing. Many of the 20 included templates are just copies of previous Webstyle templates, not new material. Many other programs have a far greater number of included templates.

I guess the saving fact is that designing your own templates is relatively easy.
