Xara Web Designer Templates

Your buttons are awesome. I'm new to this and all I need to do is take simple buttons and change them to a black background with white lettering. I'm new to the whole creating/changing buttons thing. What am I doing wrong? When I change the color to black, I am losing my text. HELP!

@STP_Cowboy this is the Xara Web Designer forum.
Xara Web Designer is not the same program as Xara Xtreme.
While some of the XWD items will import/open in Xtreme 4, they will all produce error messages about ignored items due to the object/file being produced in a newer version.
Also many HTML features (such as the built in popup photo feature) will not work when imported templates are used in Xara Xtreme 4.

I assumed you had Xara web designer but the same can be done in Xtreme Pro 4.
In Xtreme Pro 4 open the Clipart Gallery (little scissors). Click the Disc Clipart... button. Navigate to the folder you created and click Add.

Thank You so very much.....one program at a time.......lol I have both, but want to focus on pro4 at this moment. As you explained the are the same.
Similar to my 3Ds Max program.

You have to group your button and text.

You also have to assign a link to the mouseoff button.

Figured out how to get the outline effect on the button text I wanted
I originally wanted a light blue line around the text but it didn't work.
I discovered if you add a shadow after it then it works - don't know why but I like the effect
