Question Page Sizes from the 'New' menu gone

For some reason, most of the selection of pages sizes from the 'File > New ->' have gone. Has this happened to anyone else?

Talking of pages, is there a way to specify the number of pages you want at the beginning? Say I know I'm creating a site that has 20 pages, can I specify anywhere that number to create or would I have to create them one at a time?

Nicky the only ways I'm aware of are to create them one at a time or use the 'Insert a duplicate of the current page' icon on the tool bar. It is to the immediate right of the Save icon.

You have created a template: NTemplate001.xar which does not show in your template folder (second screenshot)
It appears that you have File>>Save Template to a different folder on your HDD. WD has now re written the registry entry to point to that other folder for it's source of (File>>New) templates.

In the Templates folder I've created another folder to hold any templates I've created. I assumed that WD would just look in the main templates folder as default. Where as I could add any other template folders to the design gallery.

How do I get this back to default?

The Template folder is wired into the Windows registry:

    C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Web Designer\Templates\ENG

You can change it manually, or just save a new template via File>>Save Template into the C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Web Designer\Templates\ENG folder, close and re open WD. It should work.

If you edit the windows registry, the usual caveats apply

Nicky if you do not mind editing the registry you can go the the following registry key

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesigner\5.0\Op tions\Templates\Path

    Set the path to read:
    C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Web Designer\Templates\ENG\

EDIT: Steve is just too quick for me today.

    Thanks guys.

How would I go about saving templates in different folders, adding them to the design gallery and still having the page size selection from the New menu?

Nicky I'm not sure I'm fallowing you on that question.

The templates for New are simple blank documents you can use to create your designs from scratch.

The Designs Gallery is for "templates" containing preplaced objects. Two different functions and two different folders.

To add your own folders to the Designs Gallery simple create your folder and save your .web or .xar file for your Template. In Web Designer open the Designs Gallery and click the Disc Designs button then navigate to your folder and then add it.
