    Seconded.

I wish Xara would listen to us users and stop making toys which are not very useful to the professional graphics community at large and get some decent developers working on their core big money product.

But as I said before I don't think there's anyone there who knows how the core engine of Xtreme actually works so they can't create new tools.

If there's now vector tools in XX5 I'll eat my hat in the same vain as Werner Herzog Eating his shoe and post it on You Tube.

    Common sense one said,

This is common practice for companies who own divisions(read products here)
They take a look at the more profitable divisions and divide the areas that work from the areas that don't.
This will distinguish what's valuable and what's not.
By dividing it makes it easier to be able,in the future,to dump a product or development

Magix is known for it's separate software programs.

I'm with you on that .... Absolutely crazy to change that functionality ....

I will buy the upgrade to XX5 no matter what they upgrade. I've never yet felt ripped off with this software, since I bought Corel Xara 1.0. and I can't say that about much software ....

This tweak is certain to turn up soon in a XaReg update, meanwhile as mentioned by Xara recently, this can be reversed in the registry (if you are comfortable doing so)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesigner\5.0\Op tions\ColourLine

    Popup menu change to 0

Usual warnings apply when editing the registry

Well, the only reason why I could see that XX5 should have XWD5 in it
is because then I can keep my live effects intact, because in XWD5
I can`t import my live effects.

You can create a bitmapcopy of your LE,
This is obvious as it needs to be an bitmap to be able to show online.
So create a bitmapcopy>ctrl+c and drag to XWD

    Yeah I know that.

But I mean if you are still in the development state
it would be nice if they would be still changeable within
    XWD5.

Maybe it just isn`t possible within XWD5 or something.

    I think it's a pricing issue.
    Why give away a live-effecttool
But then again,I have a wysiwyghtml creator that has the basic photo-editing effects build in.

Probably, but if the code XWD5 is build into XX5 there wouldn`t be that limitation, if it was possible to do anyway. Then XX5 would be XWD5 pro
(hmm what would XXP5 Pro be then? )

(I feel a headache coming up)
