Well, at least you admit that you criticize.
Sure forum is for discussion, but criticizing is not a constructive approach to any discussion.
And remember - if you push, you get feedback. Learn to live with this, and with my opinion.
Otherwise you only prove it right.

    Indeed.
    My apologies. Back to topic.

The proof that "no HTML skills (are) required" is here: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=36835
There's already a number of sites published by people without any html skills.

I design the templates in xara pro and then code them in html kit. I've used it for years and I love it. However, I also use FileZilla for upload. Can't beat the speed!

    Hi

I use PSPad for all HTML / CSS / PHP as I like complete control over my code.

For Graphic Design I use a combination of Hexagon / ZBrush / Paint Shop Pro / Xara X1, just depends what I am trying to accomplish.

Oh yeah, Database design gets done in MySQL Workbench.

We are using Microsoft Expression Web Studio 2.0. XARA Xtreme Pro 4.0
And now we have XARA Web Designer. I have Photoshop 4 and RealDraw 5.0 which does a very slick job at vector graphics

I have used Vim for a long time, and recently began using Notepad++. After the trial of WD, I will be using that for the great majority of my work, and Notepad++ for anything that cannot handle.

Dreamweaver. There is nothing else to touch it.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

Unhappy Re: Which web authoring software do you use?

    Xara Web Designer!
I struggled for years to break my bad habit of .... FrontPage, 'cos there was nothing easier. I still remember the magic finding AUTOMATIC buttons!
Then, under enormous peer pressure, I vainly tried to master Dreamweaver (which should be sold with a warning: "Geeks ONLY".)
    Then came Xara.
I tried Web Designer and bought it the same day.

THEN I find Xara Xtreme for Linux ..... FREE!
Mixed emotions when I saw what IT could do FREE, then realisation and reality:
The company deserves to make a buck - and heaven knows at the price I paid, that ain't easy.
