Xara support tell me that this is not possible in Webstyle but it is urgently needed to cope with the advent of wide screen moinitors. Has anyone come up with a workaround?

Hi Shrappers,
Welcome to Talkgraphics.
I will assume you are referring to the Web Papes export from Webstyle 4.
You could use a text editor and manually enter div tags around the contents of the page. Enter values for the style parameters of the div's width, height, and position.
Although this may actually work against you in some circumstances.
The first attachment shows a sample of a Webstyle 4 template web page as seen in a 1280 x 690 web browser window.
The second attachment shows the same web page after I added div tags to specify an 800 x 600, centered style for the page. The browser window is still 1280 x 690.
The third attachment shows the original Webstyle 4 page without div tags in a browser window that is 703 x 551 pixels. Notice there is no horizontal scroll bar.
The fourth attachment shows the edited page with the div tags for an 800 x 600, centered style for the page. The browser window is 703 x 551 and now the viewer would have to horizontally scroll in addition to vertically scroll to see the full page.
