Thread: Snap to grid

    Hi all.

I'm doing some work which requires snap-to-grid to be on. However, it seems that no matter what I do, XaraX1 thoroughly ignores the snap-to-grid option, whether creating new rectangles or moving stuff around, nothing snaps to grid.

I am using the standard 50 pixels major spacing grid. I tried setting magnetic snapping to 1pix, 10 pix and 50 pix but it made no difference. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Anyone got any ideas? I am assuming that such a basic thing works in X1 and that I am missing something obvious (having only recently started to use XaraX seriously).

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Micheal,

It was a setting someplace. I do not remember exactly which one it was, but I think it was the nudge or duplication distance was zeroed out. It works fine on mine. Used it to create the pretty pic...

    Thanks guys!!

It's working now http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Seems quite a silly setting to have it on as default ie. where you can't see anything snap to grid http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
