Low resolution copy of my last effort on this subject. 100% Xtreme4 except of course for the bmp texture and for the lowres resampling + a bit of unsharp mask, which I did on PS. I doubt Microsoft would go for such a grunge/industrial look, but I am sure it would work

I wrote "evolution is coming", since Microsoft is marketing Windows 7 as an evolution of Vista. The colours that are getting out of the logo are the 4 classic Windows ones.

I only have my notebook here and I can't read values so good on its lcd, so the image could be too much dark or not enough dark, I'm sorry, I'll check it when back on my work monitor

I think Bob Hahn am right, if MS must be, then it simply, clear and color glad!
Ms does not become at the original Windows logo change would drive through. My personal favorite revises again, then it remains now.

It is very interesting like others to such a Logo project near-gone and which ideas it to have. It makes fun and I is strained which you breaks in still in such a way.
