    Smile Get flocked...

...wallpaper for free. Normally sold at a tad under an eye-wateringly and indeed jaw-droppingly expensive $400.00 a roll, this vectorised design is yours for absolutely nothing. Available for download in .ai and .xar versions. It will make nice, er, wallpaper.
Having been a habitué of Chinese and Indian restaurants in the UK in my youth (they were places where one could carry on boozing after the pubs kicked out until the early hours of the morning - and a lot cheaper than nightclubs) it seemed that they were all decorated flock wallpaper. Ah, happy days!
I found a .jpg of this design which I took into Paintshop Pro and adjusted the threshold. This I took into Illustrator and did a live trace. This I took into Xara Xtreme and did the tidying up and colouration.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

nice Bob - but shouldn't it be embossed?

Bob Hahn did a wax seal tutorial a while back that might be usefull employed here if the pattern isn't too 'busy'

I am too busy to look

The wallpaper was a bit like fuzzy-felt to touch as I recall. But this is Alien Skin's Eye Candy Bevel Boss filter.
Edit: Nice, Rich, that looks like fuzzy-felt!

    Bob,

    The SBP environment.

Looks like your modified image doesn't tile seamlessly. This can be a problem when you emboss as well.

The effect when you emboss the tile itself. My solution is to fill to a larger size retaining the original scale. then cut to the original tile size.

Try embossing and cutting a seamless tile at 500 X 500 pixels. The cutting position should not be relevant.

    Default pill box.

Despite being a registered plugin junkie, I do like to create my own textures and fills with Xara Xtreme. Experimenting this way in Xtreme teaches me new things about the program. Having said that, this fill was actually made by vectorizing a .jpg in Illustrator, but the actual work was done in Xtreme.
I thought the result looked like a pill box.
