    Default Mclaren #17

Sometimes when I work on a more detailed graphic like the marine one I take breaks and work on something much simpler. This Mclaren is one of those simple ones. It's a mixed Xara vector/ raster painting. The reference I used for this was from an old, old magazine so it will remain as only a learning exercise. It was a fun little graphic to do though. Size is approx. 20"x15".

If this is an example of your 'simpler' graphics, I'd love to see what I could recover from your recycle bin!
As a learning exercise, you really set the bar high!

Very nice to see your diversity (still no Helicopter yet though ?

Doesn't look so simple to me.

What can I say, Gray, but BEAUTIFUL! Not only is the vehicle and its details superbly done, but the figure of the man is also exceptional. The driver's shirt is most excellent. I also really appreciate the work you've done in detailing the weathered parts of the car and the driver's helmet. I'm green with envy, but it's a good envy. Something for me to aspire to.

    Gray,
    Once again, Stunning.
Do you use a graphic pad? If so I'd appreciate a comment on the ease of use of one with Xara, and if you have one, a recommendation.
