Baloney halftone

This image was something that I created after reading that other Halftone thread.
Although using bars, not dots.
Not sure why you would want to do this other than to create a momentary visual puzzle.
Doesn't really help the photo at all~!
The photo was taken in Portland, Oregon this last summer.

Actually there used to be a type of screen called a steel line engraving that used horizontal lines that got thicker or thinner to create the illusion of continuous tone.

You can achieve this with your image using the Live Effects Tool > Color Filter > Threshold which converts an image to black and white. Moving the Threshold slider determines at which point an image is white or black.

Rich - your post reminds me of the sort of framed picture that was not paper based , but a fabric weave, sort of carpet like
