    Default Photo Aging

Attached below are 2 photos of the same scene in Castril, Spain.
Above is the original, and below my attempt at photo aging using Xara Xtreme plus a grain filter.
Firstly I made a contone of the original using a shade of brown, cloned it and made another contone with a lighter shade of brown. I applied a fractal cloud transparency to this, and then added Mehdi's Grain Natural 2.0 (from memory, not free with Xara).
The main aim was to disguise the satellite dish in the centre of the original photo, which would not have sat well with the effect I was creating.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

    Very good effect Rich.

Older film used larger grain silver crystals as the light sensitive agent. The use of micro-grain crystals did not occur until the mid to late 1970s.
