    Default Handgun

I'm not a fan of guns in any way - in fact I've never even held one - but I needed an image for a spoof book cover. So this is it...

    Very nicely illustrated Keith.

I'm also not a fan of firearms, although I have been trained to use many types.

Nice illustration ... but like Bruce, I'm curious what it is. I have never seen a pistol with an adjustable rear sight.

I'm not an expert... but it looks to me like an old Browning.

First-person shooters are not educational? Come to think of it... If it looks familiar from a first person shooter, it is probably some kind of service handgun (but the sight doesn't make sense...) - used by police and/or military.

    Still, 99% sure it's a Browning.

    Nice work!

Did a search on Google for Browning / Police / Army and found this... Pretty close, but not the same pistol. However, it is a "Browning design" for sure. It might have been adpated/re-designed by someone else... But it's too close for Browning not to have had a finger in it.

    Nice rendition.

From the sight I would imagine a target pistol of some sort. I am also no expert at weapons. I have rarely seen any but the most rudimentary sights on pistol.
