Magix ? What the link with Xara ?

Hello to everybody.



I live in France and I use Xara software for around 10 years for my works. As I stopped a few years ago doing web graphism (to go to painting activities), I didn't go further than the Xara "X" version (that was sufficient for my needs : for example I didn't need separated colors, as I used to works with numeric printing house, and not traditional ones).

Anyway one week ago, receiving a Xara information by mail, I decided to get the X1 version, actually to benefit in the future of the upgrades to Xara Xtreme Pro versions.

I was looking at the new evolutions of the "Pro" software (unfortunatly not in French ) when today I received an advert for a software called "MAGIX Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer". There I recognised the Xara soft, into another name, and - good new - at last in french version !
Anyway what I am asking myself is : what is the link between this version of Xara, and "the real" Xara ? Is it the Pro4 version ? I doubt of it...


Can someone could give me his opinion about this Magix soft ? Is this strictly a version of Xara, or are there some differencies ? etc etc...

they release various versions of their own software with xtreme features included [just as xtreme from xara includes some magix software] - mostly in Europe I think

other members may be able to supply more detail

Anyway the problem is that there is not a clear communication about Magix on Xara website, and more about Xara on Magix website. The Xara website is much more complete about the softs. It is possible the "Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer 2" is the same than "Xara Pro 4". But I doubt (as the price is not the same either !)...


If I put an interface of the Magix soft, can someone give me his opinion ?
