    Tom,

I have seen them advertised. If you like trying to cram 7 lbs of stuff in a 4 lb bag and hope you have enough air to breath then go for it.

I would check for some documentation on the temperture/cooling capabilities and the ease of modifying them.

Personally, I prefer the other end of the spectrum. A full tower with cyclones fans.

There are several folks using Duals and a few using quads. I am relying on a very old and faulty memory here, but I think I remember Steve and Xhris are using quads and Risto and Bill are using duals...

If I win can I have the girl behind door number two?

We had some of them at work and as a business workstation they are quite handy! Even though small and you'd think they should overheat, they are very quiet as the models we used were cooled by liquid filled pipes.

But one the other hand I suspect they wouldn't really be fit for heavy graphics editing (depending on the graphics card, heat could be a problem).

And another downside: Don't even think about changing anything inside as they are really crammed! I was about to add some RAM to one of the Shuttle PC:s and had to give up.

Though those small PC's are looking great and show like an audio rack in the living room,I only would use it as a simple administrative workstation.
This i have in my small home office http://www.chieftec.com/bx-02b-b-sl.html
easy to put in cards/components and lot of airflow

I use one as a PVR with the TV and played around in the shop with them and they were quite with little fan hum so bought it for the footprint and how it looked to go under the TV. Got it home and it works great but the hard disc noise is terrible when recording or watching.

I got an sp35p2 pro shuttle. It's pretty good. Not too quiet, not too loud. Actually I'm seeing more that the bigger video cards are louder than anything.

If you want a small form factor, there's nothing wrong with shuttle and the price isn't bad.

There's also a more flexible build type you can get by just going with a custom box and putting components. Same size as shuttle roughly. Look at the silverstone brand.

Also consider the small skinny business dells that are out there. Something like a shuttle will allow for a lot of power and their support is good. I've called them a couple times and I was really happy with their thoroughness.

Don't know if that helps you or not.
