Default Mirrored Text - how to handle dangling letters

I'm trying to create mirrored text. It looks good except for the dangling curve on the letter G - how do I handle this? Moving the mirror away doesn't look "proper".

    Thanks !

you have to decide where the mirror surface actually is

if it is where you have put it in your post - then the tail of the upper G will actually be below the surface and needs to be faded - not sure that is going to look any more right than lowering the surface

you could just lower the mirror at the G - cheating maybe but it might work...

My suggestion ... Do it in all caps and avoid the dangling letters entirely.

I played around with the text issue and managed to hide the trailing g in the mirror. Essentially I sliced a copy of the g and covered over the unwanted tail. I've attached an xara file with the steps I took.

Question Re: Mirrored Text - how to handle dangling letters

Good idea Les, but I agree with Keith.
I've basically come to the conclusion that anything mirrored needs a flat bottom to look right.

That brings to mind a sphere on a reflective surface - hmmm, might have to go play later...
