    The computer I use most of the time is a dual core. I have 5 other computers that are single core.

    At home, I LAN and WLAN my 2 DAW and 2 graphics computers which are all Q9300 Intel Core2 Quad slightly OCd to 2.62 Ghz with 4 Gb DDR3 1333, Nvidia Gforce 8800 GTS on P35T-DQ6 Gigabyte Mobos
    A little off topic - I run audio/midi on (Magix) Samplitude 10 and graphics are Xtreme Pro 4 of course. Both are great apps

    My computer which is connected to the Internet is a dual processor but my exclusive off-line computer is a quad core (probably should be the othe way around). ..Ral

    Main system:
    Intel Core2 Quad 2.40GHz
    4GB RAM
    GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB cache
    Benq 22" widescreen, Viewsonic 19" CRT
    960 GB HDD local, 2.6 TB NAS
    XP Pro and Ubuntu 64 dual-boot

    Two more PCs both running on Intel Core2 Duo's
    GeForce 7600 GPUs
    4 GB RAM each
    960 GB HDD on XP Pro box, 500 GB on Linux box
    Benq 22" widescreens on both, plus 46" widescreen on one

    Laptop: Acer Aspire, Core2 Duo, 18.4" LCD w/geforce 9500GS
    Vista (ugh!) about to be replaced by Linux.

    Don't recall what the Apache server is running on - probably an AMD single core in the 1.7~1.8 GHz range.
