    Painter X help!!

    i use painter X on windows xp. here's the problem:

    i try to draw a line with the brush tool--there's a start and a stop--but no line. how can i fix this? and sometimes, it inexplicably starts working. otherwise, it stays unworking.

    Can you be a bit more specific, which brush are you using, do you get a mark at the start and end points, are you using a mouse or a pen tablet?

    any brush i use doesn't work, there's no mark whatsoever and i'm using a pen tablet.

    Can you post a picture of the screen showing all your setup within painter.

    Is it possibly the ol' 'Preserve Transparency' bug?

    Go to the Layers palette. In the top half you will see a box with Preserve Transparency next to it. The 'bug' is that the program thinks it's on, when it's not.

    To fix it all you need to to is turn it on... then turn it off again (ie check then uncheck it). Try to draw then and see if it helps.
