Newb Help: Quickest way to change text properties

Hello all! Xara 3D won't work for me so im trying out Xara Xtreme but it aint that easy to use.

So can anyone tell me how to quickly change text properties? Color? font size, etc.. because it is being a pain to use esp the type tool will create a new font over the existing one instead of changing the previous one.

and once you gave it an extrude how can i change it's text character?

left click on color bar to change fill color
right click on color bar to change outline color

font size is on the info bar - ditto font type

need text selected of course

I don't think you can change the text character in xtreme when it is extruded - size and font yes - you may need to take the extrusion off first and then reapply

and for font size and font type you need to be in text tool......

Steve, I'm pretty sure one can change the font type when it has been extruded. Yep, just tried it to make sure.

the problem is say i typed a word then moved it then ill bring out the type tool again and select the word so i can edit it, it just creates a new textbox instead..

i think it should work the same as all the type tool once you hover and select an existing text it edits it but instead it creates a new text..

Bob - misunderstanding here I think:

font type - ie style yes - font character ie 'a' to 'b' no ?

If you type some text, then move off the text to do something else, then you want to change the text, select it with the selector tool (white arrow) then select the text tool, the cursor will be at the right hand end of what you previously typed.
