    Default flat image rotations

welp i think this is probably the right forum. but here goes, i have a flat file image in gif format that i made in photoshop, so i guess format wise i could save in whatever format. but anyways. what i want to make it to is spin from top to bottom, looking like it is around a central axis, for example to make it spin like a video slot reel or something. so as if it appears to be going in a circle whereas you can only see the part of the wheel facing you.

im not overly graphic savvy and would just kind of like any tips or suggestions on where to go, or i guess for that matter if its even possible with what i have going.

    thanks!

If you have a 3D modeling application you can map an image to the side of a cylinder primitive and rotate it any way you want to.
    Or,
If your just looking for a spinning logo type effect check out the Xara 3d forum at this link. http://talkgraphics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18
