    Hi Baracuda,

There has been one or two of the younger members here who have gone on to win Art scholarships. I don't remember his name at the moment but I do remember he knew how to draw some realistic flames. He has a mini-tutorial on them someplace in here.

Can one of you guys help me out here?

    Welcome Barracuda

One of our more illustrious Xara users was a teenager then he started using Xara, Steve Newport. You can see a gallery of his early work here and here.

Another talented teenage user is Rian Mosley. You can see a gallery of his images here.

You are off to a good start and we look forward to seeing your images as they evolve.

Your right Albacore, Bob has shown us all some good drawing techniques and the use of Shades and Tints, also the eye technique you mention was really good.

I am a bit older than you are but I have always been fascinated by eyeballs since I was your age.
